FPC circuit board shape and hole processing technology:
At present, punching is the most used in batch processing of FPC circuit boards, and NC drilling and milling is mainly used for small batch FPC circuit boards and FPC circuit board samples. These technologies are difficult to meet the future requirements for dimensional accuracy, especially position accuracy standards. Now new processing technologies are gradually applied, such as laser etching, plasma etching, chemical etching and so on. These new contour processing technologies have very high position accuracy, especially the chemical etching method, which not only has high position accuracy, but also has high mass production efficiency and low process cost. However, these techniques are rarely used alone and are generally used in combination with punching method.
The purpose of use includes FPC circuit board shape processing, FPC drilling, FPC groove processing and trimming of relevant parts. The shape is simple and the precision requirement is not too high. All of them are processed by one-time punching. For the substrate with particularly high precision and complex shape, if the processing efficiency of one die does not necessarily meet the requirements, the FPC circuit board can be processed in several steps, such as the plug part inserted into the narrow pitch connector and the positioning hole of the high-density installation element.
FPC circuit board guide hole
It is also called positioning hole. Generally, the processing of hole is an independent process, but there must be a guide hole for positioning with the line pattern. The automatic technology uses CCD camera to directly identify the positioning mark for positioning, but this kind of equipment has high cost and limited scope of application, so it is generally not used. At present, the most commonly used method is to drill positioning holes based on the positioning marks on the copper foil of flexible printed board. Although this is not a new technology, it can significantly improve the accuracy and production efficiency.
In order to improve the punching accuracy, the punching method with high accuracy and less debris is used to process the positioning hole.
FPC circuit board punching
Punching is to process the hole and shape on the hydraulic punch or crank punch with the special die prepared in advance. Now there are many kinds of molds, and molds are sometimes used in other processes.
FPC circuit board milling
The processing time of milling is in seconds, which is very short and low cost. Making molds is not only expensive, but also has a certain cycle, which is difficult to adapt to the trial production and design change of urgent parts. If the NC data of NC milling is provided together with CAD data, the operation can be carried out immediately. The milling processing time of each workpiece directly affects the processing cost, and the processing cost is also high. Therefore, the unified debugging processing is suitable for products with high price, small quantity or short trial production time
